SALARY
NU-CHN-03: a base annual salary of $80,948 to $92,653 (plus applicable allowances), or $90,747 to $124,579 (per annum inclusive of applicable allowances)
*NB: Salary and applicable allowances will be prorated based on scheduled work hours and may vary depending on work location.

Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada.
Essential Experience
You must be required to have a minimum of one year experience obtained within the last three years as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a combination of the following Public Health areas:
- Health Promotion / Disease Prevention
- Communicable Disease Control
- Population Health Assessment
- Emergency Preparedness, Surveillance and Response

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduation with a degree in nursing from a recognized post-secondary institution*
*A public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.
Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials or Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC).
Asset Experience
A minimum of one year experience obtained within the last three years in one or more of the following areas:
- Chronic Disease Management (including Mental Health or Addictions)
- Maternal Child Health and Early Childhood Development

iii) For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: a valid Category 1 medical clearance for their dependent(s) in accordance with section 4.2 of the Isolated Post and Government Housing Directive and Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule (http://www.njc-cnm.gc.ca/directive/index.php?hl=1&lang=eng&merge=3&did=4&vid=12&pv=1 )
iv) For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: consent to their dependent(s) to undertake a Category 1 periodic health evaluation in accordance with Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/(S(5xos1g45ufdaaz45lxatyqms))/doc-eng.aspx?id=32632§ion=html)
- Willingness and ability to travel in small aircraft, off road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
- Willingness and ability to work in a rigorous, diverse and often demanding work environment
- May be required to be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required
- Willingness and ability to perform on call duties, work after hours, and on weekends as required
- Willingness and ability to complete mandatory education/training relevant to the position
- Current valid registration as a Registered Nurse and a member in good standing in the province where the position is located
