Locum Nurse Opportunity
Indigenous Services Canada is seeking nurses to fill temporary positions in remote and/or isolated First Nations communities within Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.

Opportunity:
This temporary position will provide nursing relief in remote and/or isolated First Nations communities within Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. This is a community assignment for a defined period(s) ranging from 2 to 8 weeks based on your availability and ISC’s operational needs. It will support regions during the peak times: June - September and/or December 15th - January 15th, 2023. Successful candidates will undergo assessment, orientation, and training specific to their needs and the working environment.

Essential Experience:
To be considered for this Locum Nurse position, you must meet the following three experience criteria. These are essential for the performance of this role.
*Independent clinical experience refers to the candidate performing complex activities related to this task in a wide variety of situations in one or more of the areas listed below and excludes clinical placements.
- Two years of independent clinical experience* in the last five years providing Community Health or Primary Care nursing services.
- Experience in Advanced Health Assessment or certification or completed Advanced Health Assessment course; and
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Community Health
- Primary Care
- Urgent or Emergency Care
- Acute or Intensive Care
Salary Range:
NU-CHN-03
- $81,513 - $92,653
*NB: Salary and applicable allowances will be prorated based on scheduled work hours and may vary depending on position and work location.

In addition to the above salary, Locum Nurses may also receive the following applicable allowances* depending on the position and work location.

Rotations:
- Travel/outpost nursing rotations may vary and include a combination of days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Common rotations in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec may include:
- 2 - 8 weeks depending on availability and operational requirements.
- Quebec rotations are:
- 16 days on, 12 days off.
- Common rotations in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec may include:
Citizenship/Permanent Residency:
- Persons residing in Canada and Canadian citizens residing abroad.
